American citizens were disapproving of US president Donald Trump as far as the occupation of Gaza is concerned. According to a US media poll, it stated that 47 percent of Americans did not approve of the plan that Trump has on occupying Gaza, the other 13 supported it. Meanwhile, another 40 percent did not have a clear opinion.

Another finding in the poll was, about 54% Americans seem to be supporters of how President Trump deals with the Hamas-Israel war while there are 46% who may not agree with his way. This is likely part of a broader discussion on US involvement in Middle East affairs.

Recently, President Trump had articulated the need to occupy Gaza with US-led effort stating that the US would take control of the territory to bring stability and thereby create thousands of jobs. He further stated that this vision relates to long-term ownership in Gaza as this relates to economic development, job creation, and resettlement of citizens.
