Islamabad to Manchester Flights in the Plans
PIA will soon introduce direct flights from Islamabad to Manchester starting on 28 March after approval from the UK Department of Transport (DFT).

Phase 1: Islamabad to Manchester (from 28 March)
Phase 2: Islamabad & Lahore to London and Birmingham-awaiting the nod from the UK.
PIA has called for tenders for ground handling, catering, and crew hotels in furtherance of preparation. The decision from the UK authorities is expected on March 15.
UK is an important market
37 percent of the total income of PIA before the restrictions comprised Europe-UK routes. These flights would be operated by Boeing 777s and will provide international standards services.
Initial Operation
From the first phase, there will be three flights in a week to the UK.
