PML-N Senator Irfan Siddiqui has urged Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to abandon its aggressive stance and form a negotiation committee to work towards a genuine political ceasefire. Speaking to a private news channel, Siddiqui emphasized that PML-N remains open to serious dialogue and is willing to engage in meaningful negotiations.
He stressed that for talks to succeed, PTI Chairman Imran Khan must set aside ego and cooperate with the negotiation team. Siddiqui pointed out that the government has repeatedly extended olive branches and offered talks, but PTI’s lack of seriousness and rigid demands have stalled progress.
The Senator called on PTI to adopt a more flexible and collaborative approach, urging the party to appoint negotiators empowered to make decisions and move the dialogue forward. He highlighted the urgent need for national unity to ensure the country’s progress and effectively address external challenges.
