Pakistan has strongly condemned Israel’s plan to take full control of the Gaza Strip, warning that such actions pose a grave threat to peace and stability in the region. The Foreign Office spokesperson, Shafqat Ali Khan, highlighted Israel’s deliberate targeting of hospitals and critical infrastructure in Gaza, calling the continued aggression unacceptable.
Recent Israeli airstrikes severely damaged Gaza’s European and Nasser hospitals, causing casualties and disrupting vital medical services. Following these attacks, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced intentions to take full control of Gaza.
Pakistan’s Foreign Office accused Israel of blocking humanitarian aid to millions of Palestinians, describing it as collective punishment. The statement referenced UN Secretary-General António Guterres’ warning about the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza, where starvation and famine threaten large segments of the population.
The Pakistani government urged the international community to demand an immediate halt to Israeli hostilities and facilitate urgent delivery of humanitarian aid to Palestinians.
Reaffirming its stance, Pakistan opposed any attempts to displace Palestinians, expand illegal settlements, or annex parts of Palestinian territory, emphasizing respect for Palestinian rights and sovereignty.
