Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has affirmed the nation’s unwavering support for Pakistan’s armed forces and law enforcement agencies in their relentless pursuit of those responsible for the brutal attack on a school bus in Khuzdar, Balochistan. The attack claimed five lives, including three children, and left dozens injured.
Following his visit to Quetta, the Prime Minister condemned the incident as a “barbaric act” orchestrated by state-sponsored proxies of India, which he described as the true perpetrator of terrorism disguised as a victim on the world stage. He pledged that the masterminds, accomplices, and enablers of the attack will be held accountable and brought to justice.
The government’s top officials, including Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, and others, accompanied the Prime Minister during his visit to meet victims and assess the situation. Balochistan’s Chief Minister and military commanders provided detailed briefings on the attack, which has deeply shocked the nation.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) echoed these sentiments, calling the attack a “cowardly and ghastly” act planned by India and executed through its proxies to spread terror in Pakistan’s border regions. The military emphasized that India’s use of terrorism as a state policy reflects a “low morality” and disregard for human values.
The Prime Minister and Chief of Army Staff urged the nation to display a strong resolve to end foreign-sponsored terrorism decisively. They highlighted the importance of unity and determination, comparable to the recent stance against aggression, to eradicate terrorism threatening Pakistan’s peace and security.
Pakistan’s armed forces, backed by the nation, remain committed to rooting out all forms of terrorism fueled by foreign interference. The government called on the international community to condemn the deliberate targeting of innocent civilians, especially children, and to confront the use of terrorism as a tool of foreign policy.
