Actress Rumer Willis is stepping into her father Bruce Willis’ fearless shoes, embracing her own action star spirit by performing her own stunts in the upcoming Western Trail of Vengeance. In a recent interview, the 36-year-old revealed her determination to honor her dad’s legacy with no compromise on the physical scenes.
“When I’m on set doing physical scenes, I told the stunt coordinator, ‘You need to show me how to make this look good because I’ve got a big-time legacy here to uphold—no sissy stuff,’” Rumer said, adding that the fight sequences made her feel “really empowered.”
Rumer also reflected on her choice to star in a Western, inspired by both her parents, Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, who have starred in the genre during their careers.
Despite Bruce Willis’ frontotemporal dementia diagnosis, Rumer shared a positive update on his condition, saying, “He’s great. He’s really good.” Bruce, 70, is father to five daughters: Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah with Demi Moore, and Mabel and Evelyn with Emma Heming Willis.
Tallulah recently spoke about their close bond, sharing on The TODAY Show, “He’s stable, which is good in this situation. There are hard days, but so much love. It’s shown me to never take a moment for granted. I think he’d be proud of me.”
