Meeting in Azerbaijan’s Lachin city during the prime minister’s four-nation tour, the leaders emphasized boosting cooperation across political, economic, defense, and cultural fields while promoting regional stability and united positions on global issues.
PM Shehbaz expressed sincere gratitude for Azerbaijan’s unwavering support during the recent military tensions between Pakistan and India, highlighting the close bond and solidarity between the two nations. Both leaders pledged to continue standing by each other and to explore new avenues for investment and collaboration.
Their discussions also focused on preparing for the upcoming Pakistan-Turkiye-Azerbaijan Trilateral Summit and advancing mutual goals at bilateral and regional levels. The prime minister’s visit, which included stops in Türkiye, Iran, and Tajikistan, aims to strengthen Pakistan’s ties across the region while addressing key geopolitical challenges.
