Islamabad International Airport has become the first airport in Pakistan to offer 5G internet services, the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) announced on Thursday.
Passengers can now enjoy high-speed connectivity for live streaming, video calls, and faster browsing. The authority said 5G has already been activated in surrounding areas, with technical work ongoing to ensure full coverage inside the terminal.
The PAA noted that the launch is part of broader efforts to modernize digital infrastructure at major transport hubs, and 5G services are expected to be rolled out to other key airports across the country in the near future.
