Raqami Islamic Digital Bank has launched as Pakistan’s first fully Islamic digital retail bank operating entirely on domestic cloud infrastructure.
The bank’s entire technology stack—core banking, digital channels, Production (PR) and Disaster Recovery (DR) environments—runs on JazzWorld’s Garaj platform, which is Tier III-certified and includes built-in redundancy, monitoring, access governance, and threat detection.
Raqami was designed as a cloud-native bank, eliminating legacy constraints and establishing a scalable, high-performance foundation for sustained digital growth.
The fully hosted deployment enables the bank to maintain regulatory compliance, high availability, security, and reliability, while supporting innovation and next-generation digital banking services.
Shahzad Rasheed, President Enterprise Solutions at JazzWorld, said the launch demonstrates Garaj’s ability to support regulated banking operations on a secure, resilient domestic cloud infrastructure at national scale.
Umair Aijaz, CEO of Raqami Islamic Digital Bank, said deploying on Garaj allowed the bank to create a secure, scalable, and future-ready foundation, accelerating innovation while upholding rigorous operational and security standards.
The launch establishes a new benchmark for cloud-hosted financial services in Pakistan and reinforces Garaj’s role in providing business continuity-enabled digital banking infrastructure.
