The Ministry of Maritime Affairs has confirmed that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved the National Logistic Corporation’s acquisition of a 30% stake in Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC), along with full management and consolidation rights.
PNSC, Pakistan’s national carrier, manages a fleet of 12 vessels with a combined deadweight of 938,876 tons. The company also operates a real estate portfolio and a repair workshop, adding to its strategic value.
Following the approval, NLC has formally expressed its intent to proceed with the acquisition and assume operational control, in line with applicable laws and PNSC by-laws.
The move strengthens NLC’s footprint in Pakistan’s maritime logistics, giving it a direct role in fleet operations and corporate oversight. PNSC continues to transport dry bulk and liquid cargoes globally under the Ministry of Maritime Affairs.
