The Sindh government, in partnership with UNICEF, has introduced a comprehensive five-year roadmap designed to tackle barriers to education and create a more inclusive learning environment across the province. The plan was unveiled during a meeting in Karachi, led by Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah, and attended by officials from key sectors including health, social protection, and climate change.
The roadmap prioritizes removing obstacles preventing children from accessing education, with a particular focus on early childhood development and birth registration. During the meeting, it was emphasized that socio-economic challenges, such as child labor, malnutrition, and political instability, severely impact educational outcomes.
The initiative aims to foster collaboration across various sectors to address these multifaceted challenges, ensuring a holistic approach to improving educational access and quality. The Sindh government and UNICEF are committed to ensuring that all children, regardless of their circumstances, have the opportunity to receive a quality education.
