Film Producers Association Chairman applauds Punjab government’s efforts to support industry revitalization.
LAHORE: Film Producers Association Chairman Shehzad Rafique announced that around 2,500 applications have been submitted for the Rs 2 billion film fund designed to breathe new life into Pakistan’s film industry. The fund, approved following a request from the Pakistan Film Producers Association, aims to support film production and foster broader sectoral growth.
Rafique expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Information and Culture Minister Azma Bukhari, and Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb for their roles in securing the initiative. He also acknowledged Culture Secretary Tahir Hamdani for his continued support. The initiative is poised to make a significant impact, with plans for a film city and upgraded technical facilities to further enhance the industry.
