An 11-year-old boy wounded in an armed attack on his family earlier this month has died at Liaquat University Hospital in Hyderabad.
The boy was injured during the May 8 assault on the family of social media activist Younis Rajar, who was also hurt in the attack. Rajar accused Ayaz Chandio of masterminding the attack in retaliation for exposing illegal betting activities in the Aliabad area. Police have arrested Chandio in connection with the case.
In other tragic incidents, 30-year-old Sunny Shah died in a road accident in Tando Yousuf after a car collided with his motorcycle. No FIR had been filed by Saturday evening.
Additionally, 13-year-old Aalian lost his life after being struck by a speeding car on the National Highway, and eight-year-old Shivraj Kolhi died when a loader rickshaw overturned on Airport Road.
