Brad Pitt has broken his silence on the long and highly publicized divorce from Angelina Jolie, offering a candid and clear statement about their separation. The couple’s marriage, which began with their famous romance on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith, ended abruptly in 2019 after five years, leading to years of legal battles over assets and allegations of abuse. Their divorce was finalized in December 2024, allowing both to start fresh.

Speaking about how his personal life impacts his work, Brad joked, “No, dude, it’s not that calculated,” adding that life and relationships simply evolve. Reflecting on over 30 years in the spotlight, he acknowledged the constant media scrutiny of his private life can be “an annoyance” and a “nagging time suck,” but he’s learned to manage it by focusing on his career and close relationships.

Despite the media frenzy, Brad described his life as “fairly contained,” surrounded by loved ones and a strong sense of self. He compared the media attention to “this fly buzzing around a little bit” that he chooses to ignore.

Brad also revealed that working on the upcoming film F1 reignited his passion for acting. “I was wondering: Do I have more stories to tell? Do I have anything to add? Is there still any excitement? It just reinvigorated the whole thing again for me,” he said.

F1, starring Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Javier Bardem, and Tobias Menzies, is set for release on June 25, 2025, marking a fresh chapter in Brad Pitt’s career.
