BEIJING – China’s export control measures are in line with international norms and are neither discriminatory nor aimed at any specific country, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian stated during a regular press briefing on Friday.
Responding to questions about differences between China’s and the U.S.’s export control practices, Lin emphasized China’s readiness to engage in further dialogue and cooperation with relevant countries and regions.
He highlighted China’s commitment to maintaining the stability of global industrial and supply chains.
Lin criticized the U.S. for expanding the concept of national security to politicize and weaponize economic, trade, and science and technology issues, using them to unjustly contain and suppress China.
He added that China firmly opposes such actions and will resolutely defend its legitimate rights and interests.
