New security measures
The Pakistani government has announced that from now on, fingerprints and pictures of children aged 10 and above will be an essential part of their B-form. This decision is a part of efforts to enhance security features and save you identity theft.
Role of technology
The implementation of this new measure will start on January 15. within the first phase, children between the ages of of 10 and 18 will have their fingerprints and photos taken at NADRA centers, ensuring their B-forms include those necessary details.
Collaboration with NADRA and Passport branch
The Ministry of interior, in collaboration with NADRA and the Passport Department, has made this decision to enhance the security of children’s identity information and prevent its misuse.
Purpose of the new Requirement
Minister of interior, Mohsin Naqvi, explained that this move would help to restrict the robbery and misuse of children’s identification information, prevent the issuance of fake identity cards and passports, and combat human trafficking and related crimes.
