A devastating explosion rocked Gulistan Bazaar in Killa Abdullah district, killing four people and injuring more than twenty others. The blast, which took place near Jabbar Market on Sunday, triggered fires and caused several shops to collapse, local officials reported.
Deputy Commissioner Riaz Khan confirmed the casualties and noted that the market is located close to the rear wall of the Frontier Corps Fort. Following the explosion, a brief firefight broke out between unidentified attackers and FC personnel.
Among the injured was the security guard of tribal elder Haji Faizullah Khan Ghabizai, whose office is located in the market. The elder was present during the blast but escaped unharmed.
Injured victims were rushed to local hospitals, with critically wounded patients transferred to Quetta. Security forces quickly sealed off the area and launched a clearance operation.
This attack follows another recent incident in the region, where four Levies personnel were killed in an armed attack at a check post in Khuzdar district. Authorities have vowed to bring the perpetrators to justice and restore stability in the area.
