Joint Effort in Films and Media
Pakistan and Saudi Arabia would make an agreement for a joint committee to develop songs, movies, and documentaries as part of strengthening culture and media between the two countries.
Diplomatic Engagement at the Highest Levels
Pakistan’s minister of information, Atta Tarar, met with the Saudi minister of media, Salman bin Yousef Al-Dusiri, during a meeting in Riyadh. Tarar congratulated his counterpart on the fourth edition of the Saudi Media Forum. Both leaders emphasized on collaboration in improving media and agreed to participate in journalist exchange and training programs.
Strengthening of Bilateral Relations
The ministers emphasized the fight against the misinformation and the contributions toward a peaceful region. Saudi Arabia reiterated commitment to Vision 2030 and stronger economic and media ties with Pakistan. Tarar underlined huge potential for digital investment and technical cooperation between the two countries.
Future Prospects
The next summit meeting of the Council for Supreme Coordination Saudi-Pakistan shall take place in Pakistan. The Saudi minister conceded that Pakistanis have made big contributions towards the development of the Kingdom and hence pledged commitment to bilateral cooperation in media as well as other fields.
