Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif joined Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in calling for the rejection of conflict and prioritizing peaceful solutions to issues such as Kashmir, Karabakh, and northern Cyprus.
Highlighting the challenges facing the world today, including conflict, climate change, and economic instability, Shehbaz stressed the importance of compassion, patience, and wisdom as the path to peace and prosperity. He praised the deep cultural and spiritual ties that bind the three nations and reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support for Azerbaijan and Turkiye on regional matters.
President Aliyev expressed solidarity with Pakistan amid recent tensions with India, emphasizing the need for dialogue and negotiation based on international law. The leaders also discussed expanding their strategic partnership and boosting investment opportunities.
Prime Minister Shehbaz congratulated Azerbaijan on its Republic Day and commended President Erdogan’s diplomatic efforts in resolving the Kurdish rebel issue, highlighting the region’s growing stability.
