A 65% Increase from Last Year in Vehicle Sales During January, Which Clearly Indicates a Rebound in the Industry
The Pakistani auto industry recorded a whopping 65 percent year-on-year increase in sales of vehicles within this January; thus, marking an ideal way to start 2025 for the industry that has been struggling for over a year.
Major Reasons for Sales Explosion
“It’s a month that shows both cars, vans, electric vehicles, and jeeps. Altogether: 17000 units in just one month,” said Mashhood Khan, Chairperson of Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers.
Experts see these growths because of lower interest rates allowing better affordability for vehicle financing and maintaining strong government policies.

As reported from the data collected from Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association:
- Sales of vehicles above 1,300cc rose by 85% to finally reach 5,518 units.

Future Predictions on the Auto Industry
Industry insiders predict that such recovery trends would continue, further spurred by continued support of policies for the industry and an economy that continues to function optimally. The rising demand for fuel-efficient and electric cars will also engineer the growth of this sector in 2025.
