ISLAMABAD – The Senate Standing Committee on Parliamentary Affairs convened on Thursday to discuss the potential implementation of an electronic voting system aimed at enabling overseas Pakistanis to participate in elections securely and transparently.
Chaired by Senator Dr. Mohammad Humayun Mohmand, the committee highlighted the importance of balancing voter accessibility with maintaining the integrity and reliability of the electoral process.
In addition, members reviewed the current first-past-the-post (FPTP) system, exploring possible reforms to enhance electoral fairness and efficiency.
